Regional Law Firm Announces Latest East Midlands Expansion

Eddowes Waldron has operated in Derby for over 150 years, earning themselves an impressive reputation among Family Law, Conveyancing, Wills & Probate and Personal Injury clients.

The merged practice, which involved Sills & Betteridge LLP's existing team relocating from Pride Park to Eddowes Waldron’s large city-centre premises at 12 St Peters Churchyard, now operates in Derby as Sills & Betteridge Incorporating Eddowes Waldron.

Richard Bussell, Partner at Sills & Betteridge LLP, said

This latest development represents a significant step in meeting our East Midlands growth ambitions. Consolidating our expertise in such a prominent Derby location strengthens our position in the area and creates a strong platform for further growth. We are delighted to welcome the Eddowes Waldron team to Sills & Betteridge and look forward to working alongside them as part of our growing firm.

Nadine Waldron, Partner at Eddowes Waldron, said

Eddowes Waldron has been part of the Derby community for more than 150 years, so finding the right partner for the next chapter of the firm’s development was incredibly important to us.

Joining forces with Sills & Betteridge will give our clients access to a much broader range of legal services, while preserving the personal service and strong relationships that have always been at the heart of our practice.

Our collaboration also creates stability and new opportunities for our team. Becoming part of a firm with a clear commitment to investing in Derby will support their continued growth and secure their future.

Armstrong Watson advised Eddowes Waldron on the transaction.

Sills & Betteridge LLP provides personal and commercial legal services from 17 locations across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the East Midlands. The deal marks the firm's 3rd merger in the East Midlands, following their mergers with MacLaren Britton in 2013 and Campions Solicitors in 2024.Β Β
